Music and the arts are vital to every child’s education. Ensuring the youth of Napa County have access to both the arts and arts education is central to Festival Napa Valley’s mission. Over the past four years, Festival Napa Valley has awarded more than $600,000 in grants to local schools and non-profit arts organizations. In recent years, gifts include $200,000 to support Napa County public school K-12 visual and performing arts programs, a $50,000 grant to underwrite Napa Valley Unified School District’s first-ever arts education master plan, $45,000 in scholarship funds for performers in the Bouchaine Young Artists Series, a $34,000 grant to support Salvador Elementary’s Artful Learning program, and $41,000 in scholarship funds for Napa Valley Youth Symphony students.
The arts are an invaluable tool to bring communities together. Each season festival artists offer free workshops, master classes and performances to local students, artists and teachers.
Festival Napa Valley aspires to nurture a lifelong love of the performing arts by providing an opportunity for the entire community to experience and enjoy live performances. The festival’s admission-free Community Concerts and Bouchaine Young Artist Series welcome more than 2,000 local residents each season to exceptional performances free of charge. In addition, hundreds of free and discounted concert tickets are distributed each season to veterans, student groups and others to ensure equal access to festival programs. In total, one in every five Festival Napa Valley concert seats is provided free of charge to local residents.
The arts add immeasurably to our lives. We are so appreciative of the funds we have received from Festival Napa Valley, which have helped to keep the arts alive and well in Napa County.
– Dr. Barbara Nemko,
Napa County Superintendent of Schools
With the generous support of Bouchaine Vineyards’ proprietors Tatiana and Gerret Copeland, Festival Napa Valley has presented over 50 of America’s most talented young musicians in admission-free concerts. Students selected to participate have the opportunity to hone their performance skills in a professional, challenging and inspiring environment, and receive a generous scholarship from the festival, underwritten by Mr. and Mrs. Copeland. These young musicians serve as role models and contribute to the continued renewal and relevance of the performing arts.
Gifts help ensure the innovative programming and community-wide cultural activities presented throughout Napa Valley each summer, and support the festival’s arts education and audience-building initiatives.
There are many ways to participate as a festival sponsor: making in-kind donations, hosting events, donating an auction lot. Benefits can be customized to align with your objectives, whether advertising, cross-promotional campaigns, social media, public relations, or entertaining clients or key employees at festival events.
