Opening Night at Castello di Amorosa
An Intimate Evening with Kristin Chenoweth
6:00 PM
The festival opens with a celebratory bash and a dazzling Broadway star.

Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth performs at Castello di Amorosa, the magnificent castle winery modeled on medieval Tuscan architecture and specializing in handcrafted Italian-style wines. The party begins with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails atop the castle tower, with its splendid vineyard views, and in the majestic Great Hall. Then comes the concert in the courtyard with Chenoweth, a charmer acclaimed for her roles in Broadway musicals Wicked and On the Twentieth Century and in TV's The West Wing and Glee.

A radiant soprano "who slices through the stratosphere like a supersonic jet and can shade into a pirouetting, operatic coloratura" (New York Times), Chenoweth performs a selection of favorite show tunes and arias with piano accompaniment.

Concert is part of the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Vocal Arts Series.

Concert Passes are sold out. Included exclusively with a Patron Pass.
Allegro After Party at Solage Calistoga
8:30 PM
Solage Calistoga pulls out all the stops for the festival's opening night After Party.

Allegro Pass holders will celebrate under the stars on the beautifully landscaped Solstice Event Lawn, overlooking the spectacular Palisades mountain range. A live performance by the charismatic Irish musician and singer Eoin Harrington, delectable hors d'oeuvres, and wines from a who's who of local Calistoga vintners kick off the 2016 festival in style.

Allegro Passes are sold out. Patron Passes still available.
Patron Dinner at The Napa Valley Reserve
8:30 PM
The lush, rolling vineyards and gardens of The Napa Valley Reserve — established in the tradition of the great wine growing estates of the world — provide an exquisite backdrop to this year’s opening night dinner. Conceived and founded by H. William Harlan in 2000, the Reserve gives its members a beautiful, tranquil place to explore their passion for food and wine in a private wine country setting.

Hosts Philip and Carol Norfleet welcome guests to The Reserve’s pristine 80 acres for an unforgettable evening.

Guests will dine on a feast prepared and executed by the remarkable culinary team at Meadowood Napa Valley.  Dinner will be paired with some of the luscious, private label wines produced by the same Harlan Estate winemaking team that is responsible for creating what The Wine Advocate’s Robert Parker says “might just be the single most profound red wine made not just in California, but in the world.”
