Vintner's Luncheon at ROY Estate

Shirley Roy will host festival guests on her beautiful vineyard property, nestled in the eastern foothills of Napa Valley. As guests enter the estate, they will be rewarded with sweeping views that can stretch as far as the Butler Bridge, at the southern entrance of the Valley, and the San Francisco Bay beyond.

ROY Estate is a secluded, 42-acre property with a 17-acre vineyard, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot varietals, over 300 olive trees and an archeologically preserved Indian baths site sourced from a natural spring. Winemaker Philippe Melka believes that winemaking begins in the vineyard, and ROY’s tightly spaced vines and rocky soil create an intense fruit with distinctive character – combining the beautiful fresh fruit of California with the elegance of Bordeaux.

This intimate Vintner’s Luncheon will take place in the estate’s gardens, surrounded by the vineyard, the origin of ROY’s 2007 Proprietary Red and 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, which will be paired with the gourmet lunch.
