Vintner's Luncheon at Kenzo Estate

This intimate luncheon for VIP guests takes place on the secluded Kenzo Estate – an unusual Napa Valley destination because of the vast expanse of wilderness it encompasses.

Draped along the summit that defines the eastern boundary of Napa Valley, Kenzo Estate is the custodian of watersheds originating on the property, and its vineyards, protected by a perimeter of peaks, are situated at an elevation of 1,500', where summertime temperatures are suppressed by the marine fog that is pulled into the valley from the bay.

Harvesting later than vineyards up-valley, where temperatures are often 10 degrees hotter, Kenzo Estate wines are defined by the refined, cool-climate character of its grapes. Guests will enjoy Kenzo’s four Japanese-named vintages, which until recently were exclusively exported to Japan.

Owner Kenzo Tsujimoto became interested in Napa Valley after the historic 1976 Judgment of Paris, which catapulted Napa Valley wines onto the world stage.  He purchased 3,800 acres on the slopes of Mt. George in 1990, maintaining the property’s stables, trails and polo field for decades until vineyards were planted. With a team that includes vineyard manager David Abreu and winemaker Heidi Barrett, Kenzo Estate is producing wines of distinction.

* Open to VIP Pass holders.
