July is typically clear and sunny in the Napa Valley, with an average daily temperature of 83ºF, low humidity, and light breezes. Evenings are generally mild and warm, but as the sun sets, temperatures can dip. Napa has multiple microclimates, and while it may be warm on the valley floor, it can be cool in the hills. The best strategy is layered clothing that allows you to adjust to this variety while remaining comfortable.
Attire for Festival del Sole events is “Napa Style” - nice but casual, for luncheons, dinners and concerts alike.
For men: Summer weight slacks worn with collared shirt (dress or knit polo). For evening events, men typically wear a sport coat, with or without a tie as they prefer.
For women: It can be warm during the day but cool at night, so bring a wrap or sweater for outdoor concerts and dinners. Practical shoes are recommended, as most luncheons and dinners take place in outdoor garden settings, and hosts may invite guests to visit locations that will require walking in grass, on gravel paths and uneven terrain.
Recommended attire for the Festival Gala at Meadowood is included in the linked event description.
Here are few examples of Napa style...
